SUMMARY

With version 8.2 digikam does not read correct xmp sidecar files in Darktable, I can no longer sync. Darktable works well, digikam does not read the stars of the classification modified in Darktable.

Go to the digiKam Settings under Metadata->Advanced Metadata. Load the metadata profile for Darktable.
Check the sidecar settings or post a screenshot of the sidecar settings.

Just tested, star rating works well even with digiKam's standard metadata settings.
