SUMMARY
***
Feature request for being able to change the colors of the Places section, see screenshot below. At the icon size in the screenshot, the icons are grey against a grey background, which is terrible for contrast. I would like to be able to change:
A) the color of the icons. For some reason these are changed to grey regardless of the icon pack or them that I select. Only by making the icons bigger, which has its own disadvantages, can I get the icons to become blue again.
B) the background of the PLaces section. I'd like to be able to make this white.
For both, an option in the Settings to customise this would be great.

The icons shown in that screenshot are from a 3rd-party icon theme. KDE's own Breeze icon theme has icons that are black, not medium gray.

Hi. OK, noted, I hereby attach an image with the original Breeze icons. I have also put besides this image a screenshot of Thunar. I think the contrast there is much better, both because the icons are blue and because the background is white. So my original request still stands:
1. I would like to request being able to change the background color of the Places section (to white)
2. I would like to request to be able to turn off 'monochrome' for the icons at this size. I know we can increase the size of the icons to make them have color, but then they become too big:).

Finally a question: What does the Status "Resolved Downstream" mean? Are these 2 things already being implemented?

"Resolved Downstream" means "the original bug report describes an issue that was caused by the the user themselves or their distro". See https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting#Understand_what_the_resolution_statuses_mean for more information.
