Description meeblewopping 2024-01-23 10:57:15 UTC
SUMMARY
In all neovim version I tried, deleting a character with 'x' in normal mode sometimes doesn't make the changes visible. Works fine in GNOME terminal and wezterm. Also works in vim.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Type some characters in neovim
2. Delete them with 'x' key in normal mode

OBSERVED RESULT
Sometimes the characters don't disappear, until forcing an "update" to the terminal by opening context menu or moving the cursor

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
64-bit
GNOME: 43.9
X11

Update: switching to wayland fixed the issue

I don't think that is an Konsole issue but rather an issue with X11 and Co. in that old version.
