Description hovgaard 2024-01-22 03:04:46 UTC
When i boot my system to plasma wayland session my screen resolution is FHD (1920x1080@60hz) .
But when either screen or system goes into powersave mode, and i wake computer og turn screen power save off by presseing a key on keyboard, the computer comes back up but then screen resolution is lost and now is bumped down to 1024x768.
I can restore the resolution from system settings display settings or by sending "kscreen-doctor output.HDMI-A-1.mode.1920x1080@60" from command line.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Wait for a powersave event to occur happens on both screen power save or after wake to resume of system power save
2. Press any key to resume from power save
3. The resolution is bumped down to 1024x768
4. These 3 action restore my 1920x1080 resolution:
1) A reboot fixes resolution, 2) kscreen-doctor cmd above, or 3) using System settings display option to restore also works fine.

OBSERVED RESULT
Screen resolution is lost on power save events

EXPECTED RESULT
Screen resolution to stay at 1980x1080 as configured for the System using System Settings. And which have been set and in effect as a reboot will set this resolution at reboot. Only after a power save event is the resolution lost...
