Description Major Tom 2024-01-19 10:00:35 UTC
No bug but feature request:

I have a bunch of apps that are not supporting the global menu.
With 1Password, for example, the menu is displayed completely unstructured and takes up the entire panel.

So I think my request is simple: Blacklist for apps or an additional per app config (Single button or complete menu)

Thank you,
Tom

For blacklisted apps, what are you envisioning would happen instead of what currently happens?
Comment 2 Major Tom 2024-02-29 22:19:05 UTC
For blacklisted apps, the menu should not be displayed in the "global menu", but the app standard should be used.

For example, in 1Password the menu in the "global menu" looks terrible.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be doing this; if apps have stupid menu structures, that's up to them to fix. Letting expert user work around app bugs disincentivizes the apps to fix them! Peopel capable of doing this should report the issues to the developers of the apps they use instead. And also, there's nothing else we could feasibly show in the place of the weird menus.
