Description fin-w 2024-01-18 17:29:19 UTC
If you change the font size in System Settings, the "Recording" tab buttons change their font size and so does all other text in the two tabs. All the button text in the "Screenshot" tab does not change size though. It should change.

KDE Neon Unstable, updated today
Plasma 6.0.80
Frameworks 5.249.0
Qt 6.6.1
Spectacle 24.04.70
Wayland

If Spectacle is open when the font size change is made, everything (that should) will change size including the button text in the "Screenshot" tab. Once closed and reopened, the font size on the buttons will go back to default though.

Cannot reproduce. Everything changes immediately for me when I do this. Can you take a screen recording that shows it happening? You'll need to open a second instance of Spectacle if yo plan to use it to record itself. :)

Since reporting, this seems to have changed. I've updated Neon Unstable now and the precise problem doesn't exist any more, HOWEVER the text size in the tab titles ("Screenshot" / "Recording") now doesn't change when the font size is changed, UNTIL you hover the mouse over the text, at which point it jumps to being the same size as the "General" font size, like the other parts of the Spectacle UI. So there's still something wrong here, but the original problem seems fixed.

I can't record this as I don't know how to open two Spectacle instances at once.

I cannot reproduce that issue either.

You can open multiple Spectacle instances by going into its settings window and changing the value of "Press Screenshot key to:" to "Take a new screenshot".
