Display does not size correctly when app is opened. When opening certain apps in Plasma, they do not "initially" display to the correct size of the "monitor" (the touchscreen of the phone). This renders the output display somewhat unusable. Quitting the app and re-launching it does nothing to correct the sizing issue. An interim "fix" is to type the leftmost button on the phone, which displays all of the running apps and re-select the application that is not displaying properly--then the app will display properly. This problem exists in at least 2 apps (that I have regularly used): the "Settings" app (not the "System Settings" app) and in "Spacebar". There may be others, but I have not tested other apps for this specific problem. Hmm, this looks like it's missing some installed configs, does /etc/xdg/kwinrc on the system exist? Window decorations (close, minimize buttons etc.) shouldn't appear at all, check with your distro to see if there's a package that needs to be installed, something like "plasma-phone-settings"
In Plasma 6 a lot of the window management and sizing has been reworked and we've not seen issues like this since, so that seems fixed now.
