SUMMARY Digikam consistently crashes when I try to edit a People tag in the People Tab > Preview screen. Note I had just updated to Digikam 8.2.0 from 8.1.0. I used this file to upgrade - digiKam-8.2.0-Win64.exe. I used the above file rather than the slightly later compiled version digiKam-8.2.0-Qt5-Win64.exe as the above had the later QT6 version. *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** Above page says "This whole page is irrelevant if you're using Windows" so can't add crash report unless there is a new way. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Digikam 8.2.0 2. Select People tab on LH side (bottom) 3. I already had People faces to confirm from previously running recognise faces under 8.1.0 4. Selected a thumbnail by double clicking and opening picture in Preview mode. 5. Selected a face tagged "Who is This" and clicked in the edit box where I got a flashing cursor. As soon as I type something no text appears and Digikam crashes. 6. Have tried to change a name proposed by facial recognition in the preview screen with the same result, Digikam crashes. 7. If I confirm a proposed name in Thumbnail mode it works. 8. If I try to change a propposed name in Thumbnail mode it works. Problem appears to be only in Preview mode. I selected component "general" as I couldn't find anything that seemed to fit this particular area OBSERVED RESULT Digikam crashes EXPECTED RESULT Enter part of name for system to give me list of names to select from.
