SUMMARY
The desktop cube is not working for Plasma 6 RC1 on Arch Linux.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate the Cube in Desktop Effects
2. Ensure that Meta+C is selected as the global shortcut
3. Press the Meta+C combination on your keyboard

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
Desktop Cube effect launches

Please make sure you have atleast 3 virtual desktops. (Won't work with 2)

That did for me! I installed qt6-quick3d, then restarted Plasma 6 and now the cube works! Thanks!  Why is this not being installed as a dependency?

On arch linux kde-unstable, it is listed as an optional dependency of kdeplasma-addons:
qt6-quick3d: desktop cube effect [installed]

Installing qt6-quick3d solved the issue for me too.
