SUMMARY *** Testing adding widgets on Wayland + Plasma6/Qt6 the windows which presents widgets to choose from positions the widgets rather randomly. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open "add widget" 2. search for "fok" 3. observe placement of widgets in window OBSERVED RESULT rather random placement EXPECTED RESULT neatly placed widgets SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.92.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.248.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Searching for "fok" Example on X11: https://forum.endeavouros.com/uploads/default/original/3X/3/c/3c992d9bd7596209eef0087438e59054c3cf4cd8.jpeg Example on Wayland: https://forum.endeavouros.com/uploads/default/original/3X/1/7/17eeaa108e9cfd4481a06dfdeac65a07284f1d72.jpeg Searching for "lok" on Wayland: https://forum.endeavouros.com/uploads/default/original/3X/e/0/e0761ade3e920550b3452d03f8a76144503a6251.jpeg Please note: I'm testing on EndeavourOS, that's based in Arch; arch, and so EndeavourOS, is on QT6.7 (not 6.6).
I don't have any widgets that match "fok", but I can't reproduce this with various other search terms. Note that I am using Qt 6.6, so this may be a Qt 6.7 regression.
I have no such issue with Qt 6.7
6.7 here too, i can't quite reprocude either tough things are not perfect, all the times i tried i managed to break it exactly once: i did get search results that are moved up by 100 pixels or so, and being few results (so the view not scrollable) entries are cut and there is no way to view 100% of all thumbnails anyways, i would blame transitions
