Description madcatx 2024-01-11 21:58:11 UTC
I noticed this after I had updated to KDE 6 RC1. When an external screen is connected to my laptop, I cannot see the mouse cursor. When I disconnect the external screen, the cursor appears. If I then reconnect the external screen again, the cursor is, again, gone. I have not had any issues with this prior to RC1. I can see other stuff that is supposed to appear near the cursor - like the bouncing notifications - but not the cursor itself.

My GPU is an old Intel HD4000. SDDM in Wayland mode any Hyprland also don't have any issues with mouse cursor and multiple screens.

Same for me. Note that I warm-booted with the monitor already attached, so in my case the cursor appears on my primary monitor, but not on the secondary monitor.

With regard to Marco's report I tried to clairvoyantly move the cursor between my two screens. In once case the cursor reappeared when I moved it to the internal laptop display. In most cases, however, the cursor remains invisible no matter which screen it is supposed to be on. Disconnecting the external screen seems to bring it back every time.

Another bit of information: Problem goes away when I switch from Wayland to x11.
