SUMMARY *** The first time I close the laptop lid, it goes to sleep. After waking, all subsequent lid closes do nothing. The screen stays on. /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID0/state shows closed, but the sleep never occurs. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Close laptop lid initially, so the laptop sleeps 2. Wake up laptop again. 3. Close lid again OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens EXPECTED RESULT Laptop should sleep SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS OS: Fedora 39 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.111.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I am using tlp, and have set sleep to deep in boot options.
Turns out this only happens when mem_sleep_default=deep boot parameter is set.
Thanks for the bug report, and I'm sorry nobody looked at it yet. Can you mention what that parameter does, and why you're using it? Also, is this still happening in Plasma 6.3.5 or later?
