Error when attempting to add .heic image to project bin

SUMMARY
When adding an heic file to the project bin, the operation fails with the error message: Cannot open file qimage: [PATH TO .HEIC FILE].

Running on Windows 11.

Windows: 11
KDE Plasma Version: ?
KDE Frameworks Version:  5.112.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10 (built against 5.15.10)
MLT: 7.21.0

This is not possible at the moment. You have to convert HEIC and HEIF files (i.e., use GIMP).

I'm confused.  According to the documentation (https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/getting_started/introduction.html), since version 22.08 HEIF and HEIC _are_ supported.  Is this not the case on windows?  If not could this be made more explicit/clear?

I was able to import some HEIC files on Windows using following installer:
https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/24.08/windows/kdenlive-24.08.2_standalone.exe

Try it if it works with your files.
