SUMMARY When left-dragging a URL from the Chrome address bar (BTW this also happens w/Firefox), when the URL is dropped onto the desktop the menu offers "Move here/Copy here/Link here". If I choose "Link here", it creates a .desktop file on the desktop (as expected), but in the wrong location. Instead of the .desktop file going where it was dropped, it goes into the next free location on the icon grid. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Chrome, browse to a website 2. Left drag the URL onto the Plasma desktop 3. Release the mouse button, choose "Link here". 4. Observe location of new .desktop file OBSERVED RESULT Icon for .desktop file is in the wrong location - it's in the next free spot in the desktop icon grid. EXPECTED RESULT Icon should go where dropped with the mouse. Thanks for the bug report, and I'm sorry we weren't able to get to this yet. Can I ask you to check in Plasma 6.4 or later to see if it's still happening? Thanks a lot!
