Error message

SUMMARY
After the recent update, the home screen shows the error "Unable to load applications".  


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Discover
2. Home screen shows the attached error
3. 
 
OBSERVED RESULT
Error asking to verify internet connection

Show applications

The other issue is that Discover ask for root password when opened.  It shows in log file.

I found this cmd and it fixed my issue.  
sudo ln -s /var/cache/app-info /var/lib/swcatalog && sudo ln -s /var/lib/swcatalog/xmls /var/lib/swcatalog/xml
