Hey, there are quite a few apps with a hidden menu to opt-in to telemetry, i believe a settings menu for all of them would instead be much easier to manage for both the end user and be better for the project(s) in general.

Agreed. This is what most people think the page in System Settings is for, but it's not, and that's rather odd IMO.

It's been a while since this was confirmed. I believe this issue probably mildly annoying for some people, would probably be easy to implement. I also think there should be possibly a "custom" feedback settings page where the user could tick on or off what forms of telemetry they wanted to send.
