STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click on battery icon in taskbar
2. Change slider from "energy saving" to "power" (or other)

OBSERVED RESULT
Slider moves to selected energy-mode an quickly slides back to the current setting.

EXPECTED RESULT
Slider should stay on "energy saving" if clicked on "energy saving" and so on for the other modes.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:

KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8 
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.110.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10

I have this problem on 3 laptops with the same path-level.

Unfortunately this is an upstream bug in power-profiles-daemon; see https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/hadess/power-profiles-daemon/-/issues/106
