In the wayland session, for non-standard aspect ratios (e.g. maximized Virtualbox window with auto adjust, for me: 3.839:1.973), changing the display scaling factor results in the wallpaper going black. Some symbols like the ones in the logout/shutdown/reboot menu are replaced by a black rectangle. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set a non-standard aspect ratio (maybe non-integer?) 2. Change the display scaling OBSERVED RESULT Wallpaper and some icons go black EXPECTED RESULT Wallpaper and icons are unaffected by the changed scaling SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: 6.2.0-39 generic KDE Plasma Version: 5.90.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.247.0 Qt Version: 6.6.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This sounds like graphical corruption. Are you able to reproduce it outside of a VM, or only within it? Does it happen on Wayland, X11, or both?
This only happens in Wayland. I cannot test it on real hardware as I don't have a monitor with such a strange aspect ratio.

The wallpaper does not turn black anymore, however the icons in the logout manager are still replaced by black squares.
The wallpaper is only black if it is a .png file, if it is .jpg it works fine.
