Description bom_ed 2023-12-18 22:34:58 UTC
I have 1000+ videos proxied in a documentary i'm working on. I have had them all in the timeline then slowly removed them and cut down to about 1 hour 12 minutes of footage which remained in the timeline.

When I rendered even just a small section, 1 minute long, it would take 20+ minutes to start the render.

No issues with rendering, just takes 20 minutes to get there.

If I try and render 10 seconds, or 10 minutes or 1 hour, takes 20+ minutes to start.

I could not find any info about this anywhere online after 2 days searching and stumbled upon a fix.

If I go to Project Settings > Cache Data then deleted the Proxy Settings.

Mine was taking up 20+gb of proxies for Cache Data.

Once deleted, a render would start in seconds.
