SUMMARY No crash. just ): STEPS TO REPRODUCE Select a dozen or so image files in dolphin. drag into blank browser (Firedragon in this case) window. also this has happened to me on multiple distros (all Arch and KDE based) with and with different browsers (though all are firefox based) OBSERVED RESULT Opens only one of the images but for as many images files you had selected. As in the same image opened a dozen or so times. EXPECTED RESULT All of the selected images opened in different tabs instead of the same 1 image in so many tabs. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Garuda Linux. Kernal: 6.6.6 zen (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.112.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (:
Can't reproduce on Fedora 39. Will also try on Plasma 6. Operating System: Fedora Linux 39 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.111.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 Kernel Version: 6.6.6-200.fc39.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6600
Can't reproduce on Plasma 6 either. Both cases used wayland. Are you using wayland or x11? Do you have screen scaling? Any other information?
Created attachment 164280 [details] Video of goofery My dolphin setting might be different than the average user or its an arch or arch and kde specific problem.
I don't know how to edit comments. I am on X11
Created attachment 164281 [details] Testing to see if it will play in browser and wont make you download this .mp4 instead of the .mk4 from earlier
I don't have any screen scaling but I do have two monitors with different refresh rates and horizontal resolutions
I am also using encrypted drives. Also happens with as little as two images.
Logged out and relogged into wayland and the issue does not happen. I would suggest closing this issue as it is probably just the dying of x11 (or x11s lack of continuing support on arch or geruda more specifically), but you have your own procedures and it is up to you.
