SUMMARY
Not sure if it's an intended behavior, a misconfiguration o what.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Perform an update, or install something with Discover;
2. Look at /var/cache/apt/archives/ (on a Neon system).

OBSERVED RESULT
Downloaded packages are still there.

EXPECTED RESULT
Downloaded packages are deleted to free space (?)

The behavior is determined by the PackageKit backend plugin; it's not something that Discover has control over.
