Description mcat 2023-12-15 07:35:10 UTC
SUMMARY
***
When using ubuntu 22.04 I attempted to set up a hotspot. There appears to be disregard if the interface is active or not, I tried to change settings while the interface was active, changing the mode from ad-hoc to AP and adding a password with wpa2.
***

I tried restarting the computer and that did not make it work.
I just changed the hotspot name and it did not give the error this time, It did not give the error the first time and it did not take.
I had set it to save the password for every user.
I changed the wifi hotspot name from the username-hotspot to just the username.
I think it deletes the hotspot interface when it exits.
I think it recreates a new interface when I rename the hotspot and now I see two interfaces, and the one I created is lower on the list and it has a line separating it from the auto-generated one and the one I made.

Thank you for the bug report!

However Plasma 5.24.6 is no longer eligible for support or maintenance from KDE; supported versions are 5.27, and 5.27 or newer. Please upgrade to a supported version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one.

If you need support for Plasma 5.24.6, please contact your distribution, who bears the responsibility of providing support for older releases that are no longer supported by KDE.

If you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to a supported version, feel free to re-open this bug report.
