Is this a regression? Did it work in the past?

What happens instead of logging in?

Can you attach the file ~/.local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log?

I am unsure, wayland used to work fine on Kubuntu but not on endavourOS for some reason, Everything is fine on the xorg side though. When i log into wayland i just get a black screen and i see my cursor and then it kicks me back to login.

There seems to be something wrong with the way XWayland or even the X server itself are set up on your system. I'd recommend seeking support in a distro-specific forum.
