Does deleting
~/.cache/plasmashell/qmlcache and restarting plasma fix the issue?

No, it does not.

Does it reproduce in a fresh user account?

What GPU are you using?

The issue appeared some days after i upgraded to plasma 6.
It doesn't reproduce on a fresh account.
After I tried to reproduce the issue on a fresh account, I updated the system and rebooted and the issue is now gone also on my main account.

If it's gone now, then it seems like somehow it was an upstream bug, like something to do with your graphics drivers. Let's close it for now until it happens again.
