Go to digiKam/setup/miscs dialog and turn on the debug traces.

https://docs.digikam.org/en/setup_application/miscs_settings.html#system-settings

Now open a terminal and run digiKam. It will be verbose and allows to determine the problem.

Note: if you wan to see tags under the thumbnails, go to digiKam / setup / View and turn on right options:

https://docs.digikam.org/en/setup_application/views_settings.html#icon-settings

You have set the thumbnail size (slider) to the absolute minimum size (100). In this setting almost all information is hidden. Just one step higher and everything will be displayed again. The idea behind it was a bug wish to quickly display as many thumbnails as possible in the view.

@Gilles, we should add a note about this in the doc.

I made this setup a long time ago. See screenshot.

Hi Mike,

I didn't find a slider that sets this size on the viewing settings tab.
However, I found commands in the menu to increase/decrease the size of
thumbnails. After increasing the size of the thumbnails, the signatures
appeared.

I thank you for your help.

The slider is on the bottom/right side, in the status bar.
