Hi all and Merry Christmas time with your family This file is duplicate one. From the root file, we found a solution to fix time latency under windows introduced with 8.2.0. Following the comment: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477853#c102 ... It sounds working fine now. Please test and report digiKam 8.3.0 pre-release installer for Windows available at this file: https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier
I am using 8.2.0 and do not want to upgrade yet to a release that is still in development. Can I test 8.3.0 without disrupting my 8.2.0 setup?
Yes, 8.3.0 is to same stream than 8.2.0. It's safe. Gilles Caulier
Tested 8.3.0. No crashes sofar and faster startup than 8.2.0 with Qt6. However feels slower than 8.2.0 with Qt5. One other issue is HiDPI parameter. Enabling and disabling does not make a difference, the font is too small now.
With Qt6 HiDPI is always activated, we will remove the options in the setup. You have to set the font to your desired size in the setup, this is possible in various places. For the album/tag tree and for the menus. Maik
Aha, understood. Merci. Everything running smooth now without crashes.
