Use the appimage or install via kdenlive-stable ppa. It works in both cases. Flatpak is known to have issues outside of the control of the Kdenlive team.

I understand. Does the appimage version already have hardware acceleration support? Last time I check it wasn't picking my AMD GPUs. Is there any plans to officially support flatpak or I misunderstanding the message?

HW accelaration support is limited across all platforms but a part of the roadmap. It depends on what MLT is doing in this space. AFAIK, flatpak is put together by a different team. The kdenlive team only provides the appimage, the kdenlive-stable ppa, and the Windows versions.

Now I understand a little bit better each team's scope. I'd like to reference the GitHub issue I created for the flatpak version of Kdenlive in case it may be of help for someone else getting this unexpected behaviur: https://github.com/flathub/org.kde.kdenlive/issues/306 Cheers
This one was a flatpak-only issue and has been already fixed.
