Created attachment 163833 [details] As you can see I can snap the windows still but no hints show up. SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** When dragging a window to a corner, the top of the screen or the side of the screen, the hints that normally show up when you are snapping windows never show up. I can still snap windows, but the hint never shows up. The hints do not show up for the custom tiling either. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Drag window to side, top, or corner of the screen. OBSERVED RESULT There are no hints for snapping windows when there should be. EXPECTED RESULT Hints of where the window will be snapped on the screen will show up. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.246.0 Qt Version: 6.6.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This also happened on OpenSUSE Krypton. I cannot find any way for the hints to show up.
I can *sometimes* reproduce this. I have not yet found the triggering condition.
Can you post kwin's logs when kwin fails to show the quick tile outline? journalctl --user-unit plasma-plasmashell --boot > log.txt
Sorry, I meant journalctl --user-unit plasma-kwin_wayland --boot > log.txt
.

Great!
