Created attachment 163828 [details] Scripter in taskbar SUMMARY Scripter fails to open. It appears in the taskbar with a white thumbnail, (as seen in attachment,) but nothing can be done to it other than closing it. Originally observed in Krita 5.1.5, I updated to 5.2.1 and it persists. In response to bug #461598 ("scripter doesn't work with python 3.11") I attempted installing Python 3.12 on my system and it did not help. Scripter is enabled in the Configure settings, and all of the other scripts in the Scripts dropdown open with no issue. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. While Krita is open, open Scripter. OBSERVED RESULT Scripter window appears only in taskbar but does not open fully. EXPECTED RESULT Scripter window should open. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows 11 Home, Version 10.0.22621.2506
Are there any Python tracebacks or other relevant output in Help -> Show Krita log? (And btw, the issue you linked is only relevant for a self-compiled Krita. Krita comes with its own embedded Python and doesn't use your installation.)
No, nothing at all gets printed to the log when I attempt to open/close Scripter. I just started a fresh session and tried it again and this is all I got: SESSION: 03 Dec 2023 18:18:14 -0500.
