Description PK 2023-12-03 07:01:05 UTC
SUMMARY
***
When I do an "svn up" the .po files of the kcm-modules aren't downloaded to the folder /messages. It would make things a lot easier if those kcm .po-files just came with the rest (btw. there are more .po files that don't come with the rest - e.g Discover, pm-plugins and more if this is not due to a mistake from my side, wouldn't it be great to make this happen for kf6?).

To download the .po files I do a " svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/l10n-kf5/nl/ ~/Documenten/trunk5/
or svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/l10n-kf6/nl/ ~/Documenten/trunk6/
Thank you

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. give in the konsole: svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/l10n-kf5/nl/ ~/Documenten/trunk5/
or svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/l10n-kf6/nl/ ~/Documenten/trunk6/
2. Lots of .po files are downloaded
3. But also lots aren't

OBSERVED RESULT
Not all .po files are downloaded

EXPECTED RESULT
All .po files are downloaded and ready to translate

Sorry, I'm not familiar with translation workflow. Does this issue only affect kcm_regionandlang module or the plasma-workspace project?
Comment 2 PK 2023-12-03 08:25:46 UTC
I can't answer your question. I don't know that much too. Only thing I know is that the kcm-modules don't play nice with the translation files of the whole kde project.
At this moment there is nothing wrong with the plasma-workspace as such on my system.
Thank you

Maybe ask on i10n matrix room or mailing list, probably won't get much visibility here on bugzilla.

Indeed, please ask on https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-i18n-doc

This page is about bugs in the Region/Language module, not for discussions around the translation workflow
