Description Danish Rehman 2023-11-26 13:19:39 UTC
SUMMARY
***
Add option to keep watching for new mail in the Settings menu > Configure Kmail > Accounts > Identities > Receiving > [Insert Account Name here] > Modify > General > Watch for new mail when closed
***

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: EndeavourOS
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.112.0
QT Version: 5.15.11

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Thunderbird and Mailspring do this this OOTB, while Geary has an option to do so. It is only fitting that Kmail gets this option so that users of Kmail can be able reply in time to their emails.

What I mean is that kmail should immediately notify you when there is a new email.

Yep we don't store resource
=> when we have new mail for example in imap it will show a notification.

Same for pop3 when we define "check at x minutes" etc.
