SUMMARY After opening a new tab by dragging things from current page, If I select some text on current page, it will leads to the new tab or add a sign to the right side of tabs. I also tested firefox with another compositor(Hyprland), and can't reproduce this bug. So I guess it's a bug on kde STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. select some text or point to a link in current page in firefox 2. drag the text or link to the tabs to make a new tab based on the link or text (Do not go to the new tab!) 3. select some text on current page and press C-c or right click to make a copy request. (C-x or cut also leads to this problem) OBSERVED RESULT There is a drag new tab sign on tabs bar, or copy/cut leads to another tab (I don't know why there are two different results based on different tab number. EXPECTED RESULT Do not jump to another tab or make a sign on the tabs bar. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux arch 6.6.2-zen1-1-zen / 5.27.9-1 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9-1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.27.9-1 Qt Version: 5.15.11+kde+r60 and 6.6.0
Could you share a screenshot? Also is this on wayland or x11?

You might also want to file a bug report at firefox, since this might be a firefox bug.
(In reply to fanzhuyifan from comment #3) > You might also want to file a bug report at firefox, since this might be a > firefox bug. Thanks for your screenshot, That's what I mean. This happens on wayland, I haven't tested it on X. I open this bug on kde side since it can not be reproduced on Hyprland (which is another compositor under wayland protocol)
I can also reproduce this strange minor bug.
Cannot reproduce and would probably have not been a compositor bug
