Current Import from Card Reader Window

SUMMARY

Import from Card Reader dialog used to show a menu that allowed users to specify how and where to carry out the import. The menu is no longer available in digikam 8.1.0, or 8.2.0, for Windows.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click on Import then Card Readers and select a source.
2.

OBSERVED RESULT
A window opens to show the images on the selected device, with headings down the right-hand side. The shortcut Ctrl + M does not display a menu.

EXPECTED RESULT
The Window also shows a menu at the top.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:  10, or 11

Sorry it isn't really a Major problem, images can be copied to the correct folder, then found by searching for new items.

Press Ctrl+M to reactivate the menu. You can then activate the toolbar again.

Oh, I just read that CTRL+M doesn't work for you?

What about the context menu above a thumbnail to reactivate the menu?

I have now tested the latest pre-release version of digiKam-8.2.0 and cannot find any problems with the menu/toolbar in the import tool. It can be easily activated and deactivated with CTR+M. It must be an individual problem.

As a test, you can rename or delete the folder "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\kxmlgui5\digikam" if you have not defined any special toolbar settings or keyboard shortcuts.

Ok, I tried the context menu and the menu displayed and subsequently Ctrl+m
turns it off/on. I was then able to use it in the same way as before.
