Created attachment 163496 [details] Current Import from Card Reader Window SUMMARY *** Import from Card Reader dialog used to show a menu that allowed users to specify how and where to carry out the import. The menu is no longer available in digikam 8.1.0, or 8.2.0, for Windows. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click on Import then Card Readers and select a source. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT A window opens to show the images on the selected device, with headings down the right-hand side. The shortcut Ctrl + M does not display a menu. EXPECTED RESULT The Window also shows a menu at the top. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10, or 11 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: 5.245.0 Qt Version: 6.6.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Sorry it isn't really a Major problem, images can be copied to the correct folder, then found by searching for new items.
Press Ctrl+M to reactivate the menu. You can then activate the toolbar again. Maik
Oh, I just read that CTRL+M doesn't work for you? Maik
What about the context menu above a thumbnail to reactivate the menu? Maik
I have now tested the latest pre-release version of digiKam-8.2.0 and cannot find any problems with the menu/toolbar in the import tool. It can be easily activated and deactivated with CTR+M. It must be an individual problem. As a test, you can rename or delete the folder "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\kxmlgui5\digikam" if you have not defined any special toolbar settings or keyboard shortcuts. Maik
Created attachment 163569 [details] attachment-429599-0.html Ok, I tried the context menu and the menu displayed and subsequently Ctrl+m turns it off/on. I was then able to use it in the same way as before.
