SUMMARY *** Hello Digikam is able to tag pictures using a hierarchical structure of tags. It exists some sources to get predefined list of tags (https://mariejulien.com/post/2013/06/16/Nouveaux-thesaurus-lightroom-en-fran%C3%A7ais-%3A-Standard-IPTC%2C-pays-du-Monde%2C-photo-culinaire-et-autres-mots-cl%C3%A9s-utiles), and Ligthroom and PhotoSupreme can import these files. Could you add that feature in Digikam ? *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. What's the purpose of this feature ? To bloat database with per-registred tags hierarchies ? Gilles Caulier

(In reply to caulier.gilles from comment #1) > What's the purpose of this feature ? It is much more to be considered as an helpful reference for tagging photos with accurate and precise information (for example in my case, doing a lot of photos in Paris and other towns in France, it is useful to directly have the list of streets or remarkable places). I will then follow bug 444966. Best regards.
Hi Jean Jacques, The auto-tags assignment feature based on IA introduced in next 8.3.0 do not solve this issue ? The deep learning neural network will analyze image contents and recognize subjects of photography in goal to tag item in the database accordingly, following a taxonomy logic. All is explained in details to the student blog entry here : https://community.kde.org/GSoc/2023/StatusReports/QuocHungTran#Add_Automatic_Tags_Assignment_Tools_and_Improve_Face_Recognition_Engine_for_digiKam Best regards Gilles Caulier
