Description killy 2023-11-23 02:55:01 UTC
SUMMARY
When I modified the preferred output format to Rec. 709 Linear, the color sample tool displayed incorrect color.
Here's the link to KA's report with pictures attached: https://krita-artists.org/t/help-color-sample-tool-displays-incorrect-color/78595

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Settings, switch to Display tab, then switch to HDR Settings tab, change Preferred Output Format to Rec.709 Linear (16 bit) and restart krita.
2. Create a new canvas, use any tool to draw colours, use the Colour Sampler tool to sample the drawn colours, the preview colours shown by the Colour Sampler tool do not match the drawn colours shown on the canvas.

OBSERVED RESULT
The preview colours shown by the colour sampling tool should be consistent with the colours already drawn on the canvas.

EXPECTED RESULT

Sorry, I seem to have set the wrong label, the correct one should be:

EXPECTED RESULT
The preview colours shown by the colour sampling tool should be consistent with the colours already drawn on the canvas.
