This is confusing. 1. Is that the brightness applet in your screenshot that's misaligned? It should have a brightness symbol without the monitor as the icon, and the battery applet would have a battery or lightning symbol. 2. You're saying you clicked on "manually block sleep and screen locking". That functionality lives in the applet that's now just battery and power, not in the new brightness applet. Did you mean you click on that switch in the battery applet, and that gets the battery applet icon misaligned? Or the brightness applet icon?
