SUMMARY
A tray icon appears when running under Plasma, or even under i3 with PolyBar

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run `kdeconnect-indicator`

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing appears in the system tray

EXPECTED RESULT
A small icon appears that allows access to a menu when right-clicked.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux 6.6.2 (zen), WayBar 0.9.24, Hyprland v0.32.3
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: -
KDE Frameworks Version: -
Qt Version: 5.15.11

kdeconnect-indicator only outputs
kf.windowsystem: Could not find any platform plugin
when kdeconnectd is already running, else it outputs
error activating kdeconnectd: QDBusError("org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown", "Could not activate remote peer: unit failed.")

kdeconnect.interfaces: dbus interface not valid

Did you fix the errors?

i get the same errrors its work on kde plasma 6 but not in hyprland .

What distribution are you using? This error looks like a missing/incorrect service file for starting kdeconnect through dbus.

If you ecplicitly start kdeconnectd (using the command "kdeconnectd"), then start the indicator, does something show up?
