OBSERVED RESULT the assigned new hot keys don't work anymore, the new settings have been forgotten EXPECTED RESULT the opposite SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Okular v.1.9.3 Linux (x86_64) release 5.4.0-166-generic Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux mint (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It seems to function well at this moment... the changes haven't been lost, it seems... but I played with closing the document, closing Okular, and opening... strange... but bugs are strange, right? :)

This is what was supposed to fix Bug 384700, which seems similar to me. Can you provide your software versions?

it functions good now I don't now what happened, but the problem had produced itself twice... I now have checked whether it is just the last modification that gets lost... I did one modification, saved and reloaded the document (and Okular), and it didn't get forgotten... so, at this point I cannot reproduce it anymore... Sorry for taking your time!!!
