Description Roxane 2023-11-15 14:53:26 UTC
Hello,
I was searching for a button or thing to click on to download library clips from the KDE store (https://store.kde.org/browse?cat=333&ord=latest) directly in Kdenlive, but it apparently isn't a thing, and think it would be great to have it. There is one for Effects, and one for Title clips, but none for Library clips, or Project files, and i'm not sure about the others.

Actually, it would be even better to have only one place where all of those could be accessed because i think they are quite hard to find currently, like maybe in Settings -> Add-ons or something, and then you'd have categories.

I hope that's possible, and thanks for everything,
Roxane

Yes, that could be an option to have all KDE store downloads in one place, beside the individual places. For instance: Settings -> KDE Store

I think Roxane is looking for a place within Kdenlive from where you can access the KDE Store categories. At the moment, only effects and titles can be downloaded from the KDE Store using the built-in download function of the Effects widget and the Title Editor. Even though the KDE Store has categories for Kdenlive Project Files and Library Clips, they cannot be downloaded from with Kdenlive but need to be downloaded using a browser and then moved to the respective folder. Perhaps the Online Resources function can be extended to allow opening Kdenlive Project Files directly from the KDE Store.
