Have just installed Digikam and imported some folders. No video (all mp4) will play with audio at all in DigiKam. If I open them using Haruna player (or Gwenview or PhotoQt) all the videos have audio and perform normally. Digikam is not showing as a running application in the audio volume applications. I apologise but I am a very new linux user so no idea what additional information you need that I can give you to assist in this. I have looked about on forums and there were some really old bug requests with the same issue but none of them came with a resolution that I could try myself. Many thanks. Git commit 79ac8d6e9cb90c8d9b456405051ec0937f8485fe by Gilles Caulier. Committed on 26/01/2024 at 13:44. Pushed by cgilles into branch 'master'. Preview and Slideshow of video is now rendered with Qt6::Multimedia and Qt5::QtAVPlayer. Older and unmaintained QtAV framework code used in digiKam core is fully removed. Both Qt6::Multimedia and Qt5::QtAVPlayer are based and compatible to FFMpeg API 5 and later.
