SUMMARY I wanted to give Wayland a try after some month, but when I start a wayland session, no keyboard input seems to work. When I open an application, like systemsettings, focus an input and start typing, the whole window loses focus and nothing works. Some global shortcuts seem to work though: Super-Key opens the menu, Alt+F2 open krunner (but also closes it immediately?), F12 opens Yakauke. So it doesn't look like the keyboard doesn't work at all. Unfortunately I have no idea which components are responsible for handling this, so I'm not sure if kwin/input is the right component and what else information help to find the issue. I'm glad for any hints and happy to try different things, provide logs or post other further information. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a wayland session 2. Open an application with an input field 3. Try to type something in the input field OBSERVED RESULT The window loses focus, no input is happening. EXPECTED RESULT I can actually type and the input from my keyboard appears in the focused input field.
