Does the issue always reproduce for that specific PNG file? Or for all PNGs? Or for only some PNGs, seemingly randomly? Or for any kind of file, seemingly randomly?
This flie specifically triggers the bug, and then breaks the preview for all pngs browsed too subsequently (which previously were working fine). It does not break preview of other files (pdfs, jpgs). This has happened to me for months, and I only realized that there was this triggering element to the bug while filing the ticket.
Just that file and no other files? If so, can you attach it?
To clarify - it happens regularly with different files, but only specific files cause the issue (which then breaks preview for all files). Example file attached in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476463#c1
Thanks. Cannot reproduce the issue with that or any other image I try this with.
Hm, are there logs I can look at? Perhaps a way to turn on debug mode in Dolphin?
It's not Dolphin, it's the file dialog, which id provided by KIO. But not really, I don't think there's any relevant debug logging around this.
I run into this multiple times a day and it really impacts productivity. How can I clear the file picker settings? Or the mime settings? Or whatever it uses.
