STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. start setup KMAIL
2. go to inbox and select any mail
3. Preview is opened already

OBSERVED RESULT
preview is completely white in plain and html mode. No text to mark or copy

EXPECTED RESULT
preview would display mail content

I have the same problem, already for some months now (on Manjaro).

In GnuCash we experience similar issues in the display of reports. The rendering is done by WebKit and apparently there are some incompatibilities between some versions of webkit and some NVidia driver versions.

The workaround for GnuCash is to start the application as follows:
WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 gnucash

Perhaps the same workaround works for Kmail ? What happens if you start kmail as follows:
WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 kmail

Moved from Fedora to TuxedoOS.
Will check this if I get KMail running on this distro at all.
