Description Raman Gupta 2023-10-31 13:58:32 UTC
SUMMARY

When choosing a screenshot of a rectangular region, the view is corrupted. Some part of the content on the middle monitor is shown overlaid and shifted right.

I have 3 monitors, the issue appears to be with the content on the middle monitor, but some of the "shifted" content overlays the left part of the right monitor.

See attached video.

This seems related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385885 but that seems to be marked as fixed, and also that issue is related to mixed-DPI screens. In my case, I do use HiDPI, but with global scaling rather than mixed.

This is a new problem after recent updates. This was always fine before.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open KSpectacle and choose rectangular region

It looks like your attachment is a text file containing the filename of the video, not the video itself. Can you attach the video?

I suspect this is already fixed for the upcoming Spectacle 24.02, though.

No the video is too large to attach it. I followed the recommendation from Bugzilla to add the text of the external URL hosting the video as an attachment. Here it is directly:

Hope so.

Seems to be a dupe of 475065. The issue should be fixed in the upcoming 24.02.
