OBSERVED RESULT
htop shows high CPU usage, often 100%;  happened, then closed and restarted Dolphin, again high. Now uses normal CPU usage, no change in software running or drives connected.

happened again, wasn't using Dolphin (was idle), CPU temperature alert so ran htop again.
Dolphin 98% to 101% of CPU (on multi-core CPU)
