This is not new to the latest version of Plasma. A few years ago I enabled telemetry to the maximum level because I want to help make Plasma better. Problem is if I click on 'View sent data' Dolphin opens `/home/my_name/.local/share/plasmashell/kuserfeedback/audit/` but - The last file is from May 2022 - All files there are empty (not a single line in them) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.111.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm on Wayland. I have firejail + Apparmor enabled in my system, don't know if that makes any difference.
I suspect that it does make a difference. If you disable firejail, do files start getting populated with data?
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > I suspect that it does make a difference. If you disable firejail, do files > start getting populated with data? I will try. After disabling it, do I need to do something to "trigger" the generation of feedback files?
Just keep using Plasma normally I guess. After a reboot, probably.
Ok weird: I disabled firejail and moved all the files in the plasmashell/kuserfeedback/audit directory to know immediately when a new one was created and: - If I now open the files they contain some info but as I said the last one is from May 2022. - Even though I used my system everyday since reporting no other file has been created in plasmashell/kuserfeedback/audit. So I guess the bug now is that kuserfeedback is not creating feedback files. I'll wait for further instructions for things I can try.
I don't know how to edit my previous comment. Just to be clear when I say "If I now open the files they contain some info" I mean the files I moved i.e. the ones which I said were empty previously, there are no other files since new ones are not being created.
