This problem must be fixed in current 8.2.0 pre-release installer available here: https://files.kde.org/digikam/
Fixed with Bug 468597 Again, the note that a second installation with the current pre-release installer of digiKam-8.2.0 from https://files.kde.org/digikam/ solves the problem. Because only the installer of this version removes the old version entry from the Windows registry when uninstalling. Maik
