I have x11-windowing system, not Wayland. The bug has appeared about a week ago, I have been waiting that updates fix this or somebody else reports this.
This may be unnecessary bug report, as I study the behaviour in Windows environment, there seems to be sometimes two clicks in one click (menu appears twice but does not close) and that may cause the strange behaviour in KDE Plasma environment.
Yeah that sounds a lot like your mouse is broken. I had that before too, it's quite annoying
