The "Apps" category is the main one. "File associations" is a subcategory of it, along with the others.

Rename it to "apps" instead of file associations, is what I would propose.

But maybe the file associations got so many destinctive bugs, that this would have disadvantages.

The components are named according to their technical names. If we changed this for just that one KCM, it would be both inaccurate and inconsistent with everything else.

okay, it makes sense. Havent checked how its structured on Plasma 6 too, currently Flatpak is mixed in there too. Thanks!
