SUMMARY

The launcher doesn't show the thunderbird icon (just a rectangle placeholder). I did not change anything on the icons myself (maybe via majaro-stable updates).
Once launched there's a separate, correct thunderbird icon though (see screenshot).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have lattedock running

OBSERVED RESULT
No icon for thunderbird

EXPECTED RESULT
Show correct icon for thunderbird
